Lifestraw Family Filter

LifeStraw®Family uses advanced hollow fiber technology. Water is forced through narrow fibers under high pressure. Clean water exits through tiny pores in the walls of the hollow fibers, but bacteria, protozoa, and other contaminants are trapped inside the hollow fibers and are flushed out by backwashing. This is a highly efficient method of filtration.

This filter requires no power supply so any household with no connection to the public water supply,  no electricity and little or no income will save many pesos a week for years. Water can be used from any source, regardless of it's quality.

Each family who receives a LifeStraw Family filter will have to pay nothing for water for as many as 3 years for a family of 4. Thats's saving over 320 pesos per month.
